A private chauffeur for business travel in Switzerland: transfers, hourly hire, events, invoicing
A third of our weekday runs are business trips: an executive landing in Zurich for a meeting in Zug, a team chaining three appointments in Geneva, a delegation for Art Basel. Here is how we work with companies, what it costs and what makes the difference from a taxi or a rental.

The most frequent business routes
| Route | Time | E‑Class | S‑Class |
|---|---|---|---|
| Zurich Airport → Zug | 40 min | CHF 250 | CHF 350 |
| Zurich Airport → Basel | 1 h 05 | CHF 380 | CHF 530 |
| Zurich Airport → Bern | 1 h 30 | CHF 480 | CHF 670 |
| Geneva Airport → Lausanne | 45 min | CHF 290 | CHF 410 |
| Geneva Airport → Nyon | 20 min | CHF 140 | CHF 200 |
| EuroAirport → Zurich | 1 h 15 | CHF 380 | CHF 530 |
Fixed prices per vehicle, all included, known before departure: that is what travel departments ask for first, for the expense report and the budget.
Transfer or hourly hire?
A transfer suits a single journey or a return with known times. Hourly hire, with a three‑hour minimum, is made for days with several appointments: the chauffeur waits between meetings, keeps the luggage, and there is no taxi to find and no car to park. On a typical Geneva – Nyon – Lausanne – Geneva Airport day it costs less than three transfers and much less than the time lost. The quote is immediate by phone or e‑mail.
The vehicles and what they say
The Mercedes E‑Class is the standard: discreet, comfortable, Wi‑Fi, chargers, water. The S‑Class is the vehicle for executives and guests you want to honour, with massage seats and tinted windows. The V‑Class carries a team of seven with their suitcases and lets you work face to face. The Sprinter, up to twenty people, serves seminars and site visits. All chauffeurs are employees, in suits, and speak French, English and German.
The events that fill our schedules
- WEF in Davos in January: book in December, vehicle badges to plan.
- The Motor Show and Watches & Wonders in Geneva, March and April: Palexpo is five minutes from the airport, the central hotels twenty.
- Art Basel in June: EuroAirport → Basel in 15 minutes, Zurich → Basel in 1 h 05; the Messe is closed to traffic around the halls.
- Montreux Jazz in July, Youth Olympics and federations in Lausanne all year.
- Medical congresses in Geneva and Basel, UN summits, EPFL and ETH for academic visits.
The corporate account
We open an account within 24 h: invoicing paid before each service, internal reference or cost centre on each run, a single contact for changes, and a trip dashboard on request. Assistants book by e‑mail or WhatsApp with only the flight number and the passenger's name; we take care of the rest, including finding a diverted flight.
What you do not have to manage
Flight tracking, waiting in case of delay, parking, snow on the Zug road in January, the space in front of the hotel, the receipt. The chauffeur sends a message on landing, waits in arrivals with a discreet board or the company name, and confirms the arrival time at the meeting. For foreign guests, we coordinate with the hotel and the assistant on site.
Confidentiality and safety
Chauffeurs are bound to discretion; we disclose neither names nor itineraries. Vehicles are maintained by the Mercedes network and insured for professional passenger transport. On request we provide the chauffeur's name, plate and photo to your security service the day before.
Getting started
A first journey is booked online in two minutes with the displayed price. For a corporate account, write to us with the company name and the estimated volume: we reply within two hours, 24/7.
A typical day with a chauffeur at disposal
8:10 am, landing in Zurich: the chauffeur waits in Arrival 2 with the company name. 9:15, meeting in Zug; the chauffeur waits in the car park and keeps the luggage. Noon, lunch in Zurich on the Limmat quay; 2 pm, appointment at ETH; 4:30 pm, site visit in Winterthur; 6:45 pm, drop‑off at the airport for the 8:30 pm flight. No taxi to find, no address to type, calls taken in the car with Wi‑Fi. Billed as hourly hire, with an hourly rate known in advance and a single receipt for the day.
Roadshows and delegations across several cities
For a two‑day Geneva – Lausanne – Bern – Zurich roadshow, we provide a chauffeur and a V‑ or S‑Class for the duration, with the chauffeur's hotel night included in the quote. Larger delegations combine several vehicles driving in convoy, with a coordinator reachable on WhatsApp. We regularly work with law firms, private banks, Basel pharmaceutical groups and Lausanne sports federations; references are available on request, subject to the clients' agreement.
What procurement departments check
Liability insurance for professional passenger transport, transport licences, the chauffeurs' employee status, privacy policy, VAT compliance, cancellation terms. We provide these documents when the corporate account is opened. The standard terms are simple: free cancellation up to 24 h before, 50 % between 24 h and 4 h, payment before each service, fixed rates guaranteed for twelve months for signed accounts.
Between Swiss cities: the car's advantage
The Swiss train is excellent between city centres; to go from a head office in Zug to a production site in Aargau, then to dinner in Lucerne, it is no longer enough. A chauffeur at disposal chains Zurich, Zug, Aarau and Lucerne in one day without changing mode of transport, with luggage on board and calls taken in the car. We cover all of Switzerland and the border cities, Basel, Mulhouse, Freiburg im Breisgau, Annecy, Lyon, Milan, with chauffeurs who know company addresses, not just hotels.
Site visits and seminars
For groups, the Sprinter carries up to twenty people with presentation equipment; several Sprinters and V‑Class cars form a coordinated convoy for a factory visit or a seminar at the Bürgenstock, in Gstaad or at a Lake Geneva hotel. We provide a written schedule with times, meeting points and the coordinator's number, which you can pass on to participants. Billing is on a single invoice, with the detail per vehicle and per day.
What to send us
- The passenger's name as it should appear on the board, and the preferred language.
- The flight number or the time and place of pick‑up.
- The day's addresses, even provisional, to estimate times.
- The vehicle wanted, or the level of comfort expected for the guest.
- The internal reference or cost centre to show on the invoice.
- A contact reachable on the day for changes.
An assistant books in two minutes by e‑mail or WhatsApp; we confirm in writing with the price, then the day before with the chauffeur's name, photo and number. The corporate account gathers everything on one monthly invoice, with VAT and detail per run.
Airports and stations we cover
Geneva, Zurich and Basel airports are our bases, with chauffeurs stationed in each city. We also collect at Bern‑Belp for regional flights, at Lugano‑Agno, and at the main railway stations: Geneva Cornavin, Lausanne, Bern, Zurich HB, Basel SBB, for guests arriving by TGV or ICE. Cross‑border pick‑ups at Lyon Saint‑Exupéry, Milan Malpensa or Stuttgart are possible on quotation. In every case the chauffeur waits at the agreed point with the company name, tracks the train or flight, and confirms the arrival time to the person expecting your guest.
Frequently asked questions
Do you offer monthly invoicing for companies?
Yes: account opened within 24 h, invoice paid before each service, internal reference or cost centre on each run, a single contact.
How much does a chauffeur by the hour cost?
Hourly hire has a three‑hour minimum; the hourly rate depends on the vehicle and the city. Immediate quote by phone or e‑mail, 24/7.
Which vehicle for an executive or an important guest?
The Mercedes S‑Class, with massage seats and tinted windows. Zurich Airport → Zug costs CHF 350 in an S‑Class, Geneva Airport → Lausanne CHF 410.
Do the chauffeurs speak English?
Yes, all speak French, English and German, are employees and wear suits. They are bound to discretion about passengers and itineraries.
Can you provide the chauffeur's details to our security service?
Yes: the chauffeur's name, photo, plate and number the day before the transfer, on request.
Can you look after a guest who speaks neither French nor English?
Our chauffeurs speak French, English and German; for other languages the name board and written messages with automatic translation are enough in practice. Tell us, we choose the chauffeur.

By e‑mail or WhatsApp with the passenger's name, the flight number and the address. We confirm in writing with the price, then the day before with the chauffeur's name and number.
Do you offer electric vehicles?
On request and subject to availability for urban and regional journeys; for long distances in winter, combustion Mercedes remain our reliability standard.
How far in advance should a corporate booking be made?
For a single transfer, the day before is enough outside peak periods; for a roadshow, a delegation or a week with a chauffeur at disposal, one to two weeks, and three weeks around the WEF, Art Basel or the Geneva shows. Changes stay free up to 24 h before.
