How much does an airport transfer cost in Switzerland? The complete grid from Geneva, Zurich and Basel
A private transfer in Switzerland costs between CHF 120 for an urban trip and a little over CHF 800 for the most distant resorts, for the whole car. This guide explains how that price is built, what it includes, and gives the real grid to the most requested destinations, so you can compare without surprises.

How is the price calculated?
Our grid is public and the same all year: a pick‑up charge, a rate per kilometre up to 60 km, a reduced rate beyond, and a minimum per journey. For the Mercedes E‑Class: CHF 40 pick‑up, CHF 4.20 per km up to 60 km, CHF 2.80 per km thereafter, minimum CHF 120. The result is rounded to 10 francs. Distances are Google Maps distances between the airport and the destination centre. Beyond 450 km the journey is quoted individually.
What is included in the price?
- The employed chauffeur and the vehicle, for the whole journey, whatever the hour.
- French and Italian tolls, the Swiss and Austrian vignettes, the Mont‑Blanc tunnel.
- Fuel, airport parking, 60 minutes of waiting after landing.
- Flight tracking, the name board, help with luggage, water and Wi‑Fi.
- Child seats, the ski rack, 8.1 % VAT.
What is never billed: night, weekend, luggage or child surcharges, nor waiting caused by the flight. An intermediate stop of 30 minutes costs CHF 40; an Italy supplement of CHF 60 applies to Italian destinations.

What does the transfer cost per person?
The right way to compare with a shuttle or the train is to divide by the number of passengers. Geneva → Chamonix at CHF 400 works out at CHF 133 per person for three; Geneva → Courchevel in a V‑Class at CHF 600 costs CHF 86 per person for seven. A sixteen‑seat Sprinter for Zurich → Davos comes to under CHF 100 per person, luggage and skis included. The online quote shows this calculation automatically.
The four vehicles
The E‑Class takes 1 to 3 passengers and 3 suitcases; the V‑Class up to 7 passengers with a ski rack; the S‑Class, 3 passengers in first class; the Sprinter, up to 20 passengers with a trailer on request. The quote shows all four prices and greys out the vehicles too small for your group.
Why a fixed price rather than a meter?
Because the journey is known in advance, and the traffic risk is ours, not yours. On a February Saturday, a taxi meter to Courchevel keeps running in the Moûtiers jams; our price does not move. It is also what allows a clear invoice for companies and a known budget for families.
Three worked examples
Geneva → Lausanne, 61 km: CHF 40 pick‑up, 60 km × 4.20 = CHF 252, 1 km × 2.80 = CHF 2.80, total CHF 294.80 rounded to CHF 290. Geneva → Chamonix, 100 km: CHF 40 + 252 + 40 × 2.80 = CHF 404, rounded to CHF 400. Zurich → Davos, 173 km: CHF 40 + 252 + 113 × 2.80 = CHF 608.40, rounded to CHF 610. For the V‑Class the parameters are CHF 50, 5.00 and 3.40 per km, minimum CHF 160; for the S‑Class, CHF 100, 8.00 and 5.30, minimum CHF 260. You can redo the calculation for any destination; the online quote shows it instantly for 136 places.
Special cases
- Car‑free resorts: Zermatt (drop‑off at Täsch), Saas‑Fee, Avoriaz, Wengen and Mürren (drop‑off at Lauterbrunnen or Stechelberg). The price applies as far as the drop‑off point; the final train or electric taxi is at your expense, generally CHF 8 to 15 per person.
- Italy: a supplement of CHF 60 per journey in E‑ and V‑Class, CHF 80 in S‑Class, covers tolls and the Mont‑Blanc or Gotthard tunnel.
- Extended zones: each destination page lists the districts or hamlets covered at the same price and those with a small supplement, shown before booking.
- Beyond 450 km: quoted individually, reply within 2 h.
Comparing with what you pay elsewhere
A private transfer at the same service level costs, with our Geneva colleagues, between CHF 380 and 480 for Chamonix and between CHF 550 and 700 for Verbier; international booking platforms show similar prices but subcontract the ride to a driver they do not know. Shared shuttles cost CHF 45 to 130 per person depending on the resort, the train CHF 20 to 60 per person with connections. Our position is simple: a price in the market average, published, with employed chauffeurs and our own fleet, with no surprise on arrival.
What makes the price change from one year to the next
Our grid was validated on 3 September 2026 and applies to the whole 2026‑2027 season. It rarely moves, and never mid‑season: when it changes, it is in September, following fuel, wages and tolls. The booked price is guaranteed even if the grid changes after your booking. Signed corporate accounts benefit from fixed rates for twelve months. Distances do not change: they come from Google Maps and are checked by our chauffeurs on the ground.
Reading the online quote
The quote shows the four vehicles with their price, the price per person for the number of passengers entered, the estimated journey time and the options: return, intermediate stop, child seats, flight number. Vehicles too small for your group are greyed out. The total includes VAT and there is nothing to add at payment. If a destination does not appear in the list of 136 places, write to us: we calculate the price with the same grid and confirm it in writing.
In short
A private transfer in Switzerland is paid per vehicle, at a price calculated on distance and published in advance, with no night, weekend or luggage surcharge, return at the same price. The tables above cover the most requested routes; the online quote does the calculation for 136 places and shows the price per person. What remains at your expense is limited and known: the final train or electric taxi in car‑free resorts, an extended stop, the Italy supplement. For everything else, the displayed price is the price paid.
Frequently asked questions
How is the price of a transfer calculated?
Pick‑up charge, per‑kilometre rate up to 60 km, reduced rate beyond, minimum per journey, rounded to 10 francs. E‑Class: CHF 40 + 4.20/km then 2.80/km, minimum CHF 120. The grid is the same all year.
Is the displayed price really all‑inclusive?
Yes: chauffeur, tolls, vignette, Mont‑Blanc tunnel, fuel, parking, 60 minutes of waiting after landing, child seats, ski rack and VAT. No night, weekend or luggage surcharge.
Does the return cost the same?
Yes, exactly the same, whatever the departure time from the resort.
Are there fees for a stop on the way?
An intermediate stop of 30 minutes costs CHF 40, added to the quote. Short stops on request during the journey are not billed.
What happens beyond 450 km?
The journey is quoted individually, with a reply within 2 h. That is the case for Geneva → St. Moritz or Zurich → Chamonix, for example.
Is the price the same for a same‑day return?
Yes, two single journeys at the fixed price. If the chauffeur waits on site in between, hourly hire is often better value; ask for a quote.
Are there discounts for regular bookings?
For corporate accounts and partners (hotels, agencies, concierges), yes: terms on signing the account. For private clients, the public price is the same for everyone, all year.
How to pay: card, Twint or corporate account?
By card through a secure payment link, by Twint, or through a corporate account, always before the service. No cash on board. The price is the same whatever the method.
