Swiss standard

Swiss chauffeurs, Swiss‑registered vehicles.

Every transfer we confirm is driven either by one of our employed chauffeurs or by a partner chauffeur we have worked with for years. Both answer to the same requirements: Swiss professional driving licence, cantonal authorisation to carry passengers, Swiss work permit, and a vehicle registered and insured in Switzerland.

Employed chauffeurs and verified partnersOur own chauffeurs are on our payroll; our partner chauffeurs are a closed circle we check before their first transfer. Both hold a Swiss professional driving licence, the cantonal authorisation to carry passengers and a Swiss work permit.
Swiss plates, Swiss insuranceOur vehicles are registered in Switzerland, serviced by the Mercedes network and covered by Swiss professional passenger transport insurance.
One booking, one carWe confirm a transfer only once a vehicle and a chauffeur are held for it. We do not take more bookings than we can drive.
No last‑minute drop‑outsIn February and at Christmas the roads and the airports are full. Your car is planned weeks ahead and does not disappear on the morning of your flight.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know

Another question? Write to booking@swisstaxi.ch or use the contact form: reply within 2 hours.

Are the prices really fixed?

Yes. The fare includes tolls, vignette, fuel, the chauffeur's time and 60 minutes of waiting. No hidden fees, no night or weekend surcharge.

Do you serve the French ski resorts?

Yes — Chamonix, Megève, Val d'Isère, Courchevel and the whole of the Alps, cross‑border transfers included (French tolls covered).

How does the transfer to Zermatt work?

Zermatt is car‑free, so we drop you at Täsch (terminal), then a one‑stop train (~12 min) or a local electric taxi takes you into the village. We can arrange it for you.

Who drives me, and in what vehicle?

One of our employed chauffeurs, or a partner chauffeur from the small circle we work with all season — never an anonymous driver from a marketplace. Either way the requirements are identical: Swiss professional driving licence, cantonal authorisation to carry passengers, Swiss work permit, Swiss professional passenger insurance, and a Mercedes registered in Switzerland. We check those documents before a partner’s first transfer and again every season.

Which payment methods do you accept?

Bank card or Twint online, invoice for corporate accounts, or card and cash (CHF, EUR) on board where offered. The price is the same whichever you choose.

What if no vehicle is available near my pick‑up point?

We have chauffeurs and partners across Switzerland, and our own vehicles are based in Geneva, Lausanne, Basel and Zurich. For a pick‑up far from any of them — a mountain airfield, an isolated address, a night departure in high season — we sometimes have to bring a car from another city, and that approach journey is not in the price the site calculates. When it happens we write to you before confirming anything, with the adjusted price: nothing is booked and nothing is charged until you accept it. Once the journey is confirmed, the price no longer moves.
