Travelling with children: car seats, buggies, stops and luggage

A third of our winter transfers are families. Here is what we have learned to plan for.

Travelling with children: car seats, buggies, stops and luggage

Seats

Swiss and French law require a restraint system up to age 12 or 150 cm. We provide baby seats (rear‑facing), child seats and boosters free of charge, fitted before you arrive. Give the age and weight of each child when booking; the number of seats is limited by the vehicle (two in an E‑Class, four in a V‑Class).

Buggies, cots and children's skis

A folded buggy fits in an E‑Class boot with two suitcases. Beyond that, the V‑Class takes a double buggy, travel cot, sledge and skis without a squeeze. Nothing is billed extra.

The car is also nap time

On Geneva → Val d'Isère or Zurich → St. Moritz, three hours of road go better with a sleeping child than with three train changes. The chauffeur sets the temperature, water is on board, and a ten‑minute stop on request does not change the price.

Travel sickness

Our chauffeurs drive smoothly through the hairpins; ask for the front seat if your child is sensitive. Bags are on board, no embarrassment.

Fare

The price is per vehicle, not per person: a child costs nothing extra. For a family of four with skis, the V‑Class is the right choice; allow CHF 460 for Chamonix and CHF 650 for Verbier from Geneva.
